After completing the Mobile content creation course through the Australian Film Television and Radio School I used a weekend away with some girlfriends to test out my new skills. Watch the video below. Filmed on an iPhone XR with selfie stick and external microphone. Edited in iMovie.

It was amazing to work with Adele Varcoe and the City of Fremantle to bring the WOWzzzeee event to Fremantle Festival: 10 Nights in Port. Huge thank you to all the people that worked on this project. photo credit: Fremantle Festival: 10 Nights in Port
This project was a collaboration between the Commonwealth walkway project, City of Fremantle local history and Fremantle Story. This trail required substantial research compared to previous trails I have developed for Fremantle Story. The biggest challenge was finding a way to make visiting namesake streets and buildings more engaging while telling the story of Fremantles connection to the monarchy. I think we did a pretty amazing job since the City of Fremantle had the Mayor plugging the trail in the lead up to Megan and Harrys Wedding! I have been working with this fantastic community group that runs an extensive gardening and community connection program….. off the back of a group of very passionate volunteers! I analysed their current funding and looked for areas to optimise income and presented a report with recommendations. After further discussions we came up with the solution of creating a brochure that could be easily edited and printed in house to promote donations from business and regular users of the garden. Download the brochure or learn more about Hilton Harvest community garden
It was an honour to sit on the assessment panel for theDrug Aware YCulture grants. Administered by Propel Youth Arts these $3k grants offer young people funding to get their arts idea off the ground. It was fantastic to see the process that young people are going through to develop their arts practice and the quality of the projects funded is impressive. Curious was a major project for the community development unit. This project united all the learning programs under one umbrella. Previously the library, meeting place, youth, positive aging, aboriginal engagement and sport created and marketed their own programs individually. This encompassed developing a new name, brand, enrolment, evaluation and workflow management systems……..all meeting accessibility design requirements. It was a fantastic project working with an amazing team of people. Keep up to date with the latest program at fremantle.wa.gov.au/curious or book tickets via Eventbrite.
I worked on this new walking trail and blog post for the Fremantle Story team in time for the Fremantle heritage festival 2017. Inspired by last years bus tour this is an awesome way to hunt for fantastic vintage finds all year around.
